Morning report B/330 for July 16, 1944

Station: Remilly-sur-Lozon, France1, vT3797081
Record of events: Attacked at 1000 following two artillery preparations. Advanced to Remilly-Sur-Lozon with Company A on our right rear. We spearheaded again. Received mortor, artillery, small arms fire from the enemy during the attack and during the occupation of the objective. Moved into defensive position and dug in. Receiving heavy artillery, mortor and automatic weapons fire. Casualties suffered mainly due to our own mortar and artillery fire. An excellent performance of bravery and outstanding leadership was shown by 2Lt Cecil D Maynard Second Platoon Leader. Bravery is unquestionably outstanding of the whole Company.
