Record of events:
Attached at 0640 N to La-Nouette. Captured La-Marette at 1015. Attacked due W fr La-Nouette, advanced 500 yds, reorganized & prepared to move forward. Located enemy strongpoint directly to our front, withdrew 200 yds & placed artillery & mortar fire on their positions. Continued attack with Co A on our right & reached enemy strongpoint & were pinched out by Co C on our right we attacked across our front. Mortar and artillery fire was lifted and the enemy surrendered. 71 prisoners were taken by Co's A & C. 19 prisoners have been captured by this company in the attack against La-Nouette. Co C low on ammo, so we were ordered to pass thru their lines and continue the attack. Advanced St. Malo E edge, dug in.
