Record of events: Company moved in approach march formation. Marched along road 5 miles & made physical contract with A Co, 1st Bn. Went into assembly area & pushed off in attack with 5 tanks attached. Advanced 500 yards & lost 1 tank & suffered several casualties. Changed direction of attack and gained objective. Dug in for night in conjunction with elements of 1st Bn.
