Record of events: 18 Jan 45 - Company spent night in captured emplacements. Hot food carried by hand to men. Company pushed off at 0945 in attack. 19 Jan 45 - Company spent night in holes that are partly filled with water. Men in bad shape. Attempts during night to contact Company taking food were futile. Carrying parties took K rations and hot coffee to men this AM. Company relieved at 1330 and returned to billets.
