At 0200 we moved out again on vehicles and stopped at Buttrich to coordinate with other rifle Cos that were advancing on foot. At 0400 the convoy started forward but were soon stopped when the lead tank was knocked out by a mine. The Task Force returned to Butrich and at 0700 started forward again. Some shelling was encountered, but at 0850 they entered Dusseldorf taking 47 PW's. The 2d platoon headed for the bridge across the Rhine but the enemy destroyed part of the bridge when they were only 500 yards from it. Casualties were very light and a hard task had once again been performed by this Co in receord time.
