Record of events: Reinforced 2nd Pltn during night. Shelling was heavy during night. Observed and reported heavy artillery, gun flashes and tank movements across the river. Today placing tactical wire around some of our outposts etc. No casualties since those of yesterday. 1st Pltn moved an outpost into gap btwn ourselves and A Company. We distributed some Xmas mail to all men under cover of darkness.
