Record of events: 8 Jan 45 Alerted for move to Vaux-chavanne, Belgium. Convoy moved in driving snow. Troops quartered in barns. 9 Jan 45 Company alerted for move to Lierneux at 0645. Billeted in shell-torn hospital. Had late hot breakfast, K ration for noon and expect to serve hot chow this evening. Spent part of day on cleaning up billets and personal hygiene, also cleaning up of weapons. Alerted 1500 for move to Ver leumont. We are in close reserve of Regimental attack.
