Morning report B/331 for August 17, 1944

Station: Dinard, France
Record of events: RoE 13 Aug 44 Severe shelling during the morning caused several casualties. Co advanced at 1400 from high ground with objective airport 1 1/2 mi north. The advance was across open ground and was difficult terrain to maneuver around. The Co was deployed with five tanks to the front plus one platoon. The other platoons were deployed around the flank in a wide encircling sweep. Objective was taken including 88 prisoners and large amount of supplies. Co proceed two miles and set up for the night. RoE 14 Aug 44 Co advanced at 1700 with objective St. Lunaire. The advance was rapid and we entered the town at 1800. Approximately 500 prisoners were taken during the day with a huge amount of supplies.
