| Sergeant Pierce was a member of E Company. The morning report for July 8, 1944 on page 15 lists him joining E Company as a Private First Class. The morning report for August 23, 1944 on page 44 shows his promotion from Private First Class to Sergeant on August 16, 1944. All pages can be seen below. Since we have no later documents we assume that Sergeant Pierce died while serving in E Company. |
