| Sergeant Arsenault was a member of E Company. The morning report for July 11, 1944 on page 19 lists him joining the unit from the 48th Replacement Battalion on July 7, 1944. The morning report for August 5, 1944 on page 8 lists him as killed in action on July 9, 1944. The pages can be seen below. Harry Welch, Sr provided me the pictures and with the following information on Wendell Arsenault. The Arsenault family lived in Groveton, New Hampshire and Wendell went to Bath High School in Bath, NH. A picture of his memorial stone in Swiftwater, NH, can be seen below. The picture shows Wendell with his mother Mabel. |
