| Staff Sergeant Carroll was a member of L Company. The morning report for July 14, 1944 on page 20 show him joining L Company from the 92nd Replacement Battalion. Page 48, for July 30, 1944, of the same morning shows his promotion to Staff Sergeant on July 24, 1944 per Special Order #59. The pages can be seen below.
