| Private Midgett was a member of G Company. The morning report for August 15, 1944 on page 22 lists him as killed in action on August 12, 1944. The page can be seen below. Robert Coyle, son of S/Sgt. Richard Coyle, provided a page of his fathers scrapbook. His father was Squad Leader of 2nd Squad, 1st Platoon, G Company, 329th Infantry Regiment and it shows Edward Midget as KIA on August 13, 1944 in St. Malo. Picture can be seen below. Another picture can be seen of a sign erected in Barby, Germany for the officers and men of G Company, 329th who died during World War 2. This sign also lists Pvt Midgett. |
