The morning report of Headquarters Company 3rd Battalion for July 31, 1944 on page 38 lists him joining the unit. The morning report for August 19, 1944 on page 19 lists him severely wounded in action and transferred to the 108th Evacuation Hospital. All relevant pages can be seen below. Since we have no later documents we assume that Private Malvestuto died while serving in Headquarters Company, 3rd Battalion.
