His father was Squad Leader of 2nd Squad, 1st Platoon, G Company, 329th Infantry Regiment and it shows Sam Barnes as KIA on January 12th, 1945 in Petit Langlir. Picture can be seen below. Another picture can be seen of a sign erected in Barby, Germany for the officers and men of G Company, 329th who died during World War 2. This sign also lists PFC Sam Barnes. |
