| Staff Sergeant Hendrickson was a member of A Company. The morning report for October 5, 1944 on page 10 shows him released from assignment per Special Order #159 HQ 83rd Infantry Division. Page 10 can be seen here as well. On page 18 of the same morning report we see him reattached on October 12, 1944. Page 18 can be seen here as well. Note that in both entries he is mentioned as a Private instead of a Staff Sergeant. Since we have no later documents we assume that Staff Sergeant Hendrickson died while serving in A Company |
