The 331st Casualty Report (page 3, #114) for 1944 lists Pvt. Wheeler as member of A Co
The morning report confirms this. Private Wheeler was a member of A Company. The morning report for July 16, 1944 on page 30 and 31 list him joining the unit from the 86th Replacement Battalion. Page 54, for July 25, 1944 lists him as missing in action on July 20, 1944. The morning report for August 24, 1944 on page 44 lists his status changed to killed in action.
