| Private First Class Smith was a member of A Company. The morning report for July 14, 1944 on page 25 and 26 lists him joining the unit from the 48th Replacement Battalion. The pages can be seen below.
Since have no later documents we assume that Private First Class Smith died while serving in the A Company. Glyn Nightingale provided his portrait and an additional picture of his grave on the temporary cemetery at Margraten, August 1947. |
