Private First Class Koivunen was a member of L Company. The morning report for July 21, 1944 on page 32 show him joining L Company from the 48th Replacement Battalion per July 8, 1944. The morning report for November 23, 1944 on page 24 lists his status changed to Killed in Action per November 20, 1944. The pages can be seen below David Heckman kindly provided the pictures of his great-uncle. The picutres were taken June 27, 1943 at Camp McCain, Mississippi while he was serving with the AT Company, 347th Infantry Regiment, 87th Infantry Division.
