Harold Hughlett was born to John Thomas Hughlett and Clara Louisa Crockett Hughlett on July 28, 1916, Waukesha, WI. He was married to Lois Eleanor Welch Hughlett on December 30, 1939. They had 2 children John Thomas 'JT' born Sept 28, 1941 and Anne Marie born July 30th, 1943 (Anne Marie was born a couple days after Harold shipped out for WWII).
The family has it recorded Harold died at the Battle of the Bulge on December 10, 1944. However, After Action Records for the 83rd Division, 330th Infantry Regiment show that the 10th of Dec was a day of fighting that took many lives, while the 330th fought to take the town of Strass, during the long and bloody battle in the Hurtgen forest, Germany.
