The morning reports confirm this. Technical Sergeant McMahen was a member of E Company. The morning report for July 17, 1944 on page 22 and 23 list him joining the unit from the 86th Replacement Battalion on July 18, 1944. Page 51, for July 30, 1944, lists his promotion to Staff Sergeant on July 23, 1944. |
