| Private Weil was a member of the Headquarters Company 1st Battalion. The morning report for August 2, 1944 on page 2 lists him joining the unit from the 41st Replacement Battalion. Page 29, for August 28, 1944 lists him transferred to the h ospital as a non battle casualty on August 26, 1944. Page 31, for August 30, 194 4 lists him returning to duty on August 28, 1944. All relevant pages can be seen below. Since we have no later documents we assume that Private Weil died while serving in Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion. |
