| Private First Class Clyburn was a member of A Company. The morning report for Aug 1, 1944 on page 1 shows him joining A Company from the 41st Replacement Battalion. On page 21, for August 15, of the same morning report he is promoted from Private to Private First Class. Since we have no later documents we assume that Private First Class Clyburn died while serving in A Company. General Order 25 lists his commendation for a Purple Heart for wounds received in action on August 8, 1944. We do note that there is a typo but the ASN is correct. |
