The morning report for July 15, 1944 on page 40 lists him as lightly wounded in action and transferred to the 34th Evacuation Hospital on July 14, 1944. The morning report for August 14, 1944 on page 25 lists him returning to duty while holding the rank of Private. The morning report for October 25, 1944 on page 25 lists him, as a Private First Class, transferred to the 308th Med Battalion Clearing Station while sick on October 20, 1944. He returned to duty the same day as can be seen on page 26 for October 26, 1944. All pages can be seen below. Since we have no later documents we assume that Private First Class Skans died while serving in F Company. |
