| Second Lieutenant Connelly was a member of E Company. The morning report for July 13, 1944 on page 40 lists him joining the unit from the 329th HQ on July 9, 1944. Special Order 103, for the same date, also lists him joining on July 9, 1944. In 2017 Jean-Paul Pitou discovered that 2LT Connelly was buried in the American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer but that he was not listed as a member of the 329th Infantry Regiment, his headstone will be replaced with a new one listing him as being in the 329th. The picture on this website will be updated when this happens. |
